I.What cheekyleaf is

cheekyleaf is an independent product provenance registry for South African cannabis. It publishes structured product information — cannabinoid profile, terpene profile, certificate of analysis, cultivar genealogy, farm provenance — supplied by licensed cultivators, and makes that information available to retailers and end customers via QR-linked product pages.

II.What cheekyleaf is not

• Not a licensed dispensary or retailer. We do not sell, supply, or distribute cannabis or cannabis products. No purchase happens on cheekyleaf.
• Not a regulator or certifier. We are not SAHPRA, the Department of Health, or any licensing authority. Publication on cheekyleaf is not endorsement, approval, or certification of a product's fitness for any purpose.
• Not a medical or clinical service. No information on cheekyleaf constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or dosing guidance. Speak to a licensed medical practitioner about any therapeutic use of cannabis.
• Not an investment vehicle. Nothing on cheekyleaf constitutes a financial promotion, offer of securities, or investment advice.

III.Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fabricated information to cheekyleaf — including but not limited to falsified certificates of analysis, misrepresented farm origin, or impersonation of another supplier
• Attempt to interfere with the technical operation of the service (scraping at abusive rates, security testing without written permission, injection of malicious content)
• Use cheekyleaf content to make medical claims, diagnose conditions, or offer therapeutic recommendations to third parties
• Republish cheekyleaf data wholesale without attribution — see "Content and attribution" below

IV.Content and attribution

Site design, code, typography choices, the Apothecary Atlas visual system, and the structure of cheekyleaf product pages are the intellectual property of Xfold Development. The analytical data on cheekyleaf product pages comes from two sources:

• Cultivators who submit certificates of analysis under licence to cheekyleaf. Those cultivators retain ownership of their analytical data; cheekyleaf publishes it on their behalf.
• Peer-reviewed scientific literature, cited in full with DOI references on each relevant page. Authors of that literature retain copyright.

You may quote and link to individual cheekyleaf product pages freely for editorial, educational, and research purposes, with attribution "cheekyleaf.co.za". Bulk republication or commercial redistribution of cheekyleaf's registry requires written permission.

V.Accuracy and liability

cheekyleaf publishes information in good faith and to the best of its verification capacity, but analytical data is provided by third-party cultivators and laboratories. While cheekyleaf applies editorial review before publication, it does not independently test every batch. Published data is therefore provided on an "as is" basis, without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, cheekyleaf, Xfold Development, and Kyle Gradus-Samson are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of or reliance upon cheekyleaf content — including therapeutic decisions made on the basis of published analytical data. Users are responsible for verifying underlying laboratory reports and consulting qualified professionals before acting on any information.

VI.Age restriction

Cheekyleaf publishes factual information about cannabis, a regulated substance. The registry is intended for persons eighteen years of age or older. If you are a minor, please leave this website.

VII.Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from the use of cheekyleaf is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of South Africa, Western Cape Division (Cape Town), unless otherwise required by consumer protection law.

VIII.Changes

We may update these terms as cheekyleaf evolves. Meaningful changes will be reflected in the Effective date above. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
